John Michael Wolven Sr. of Middletown, a longtime resident of the area passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018, in Middletown, surrounded by family. He was 75.

The son of the late LeRoy and Viola Swales Wolven, he was born November 29, 1943 in Montgomery. John was retired from Pete & Tony’s Plumbing & Heating, Washingtonville, NY.

Survivors include his daughter Rosemary Barbookles of Salisbury Mills; son John Michael Wolven Jr. & his wife Yvette of Circleville; daughter Dawn Theofanis & her husband Kostas of New Hampton; daughter Nancy Juron & her husband Jason of Florida; nine grandchildren Jessica and Maria Bennie, Michael and Matthew, Barbookles, Crystal, Kendyle, Natalie and Sabrina Wolven, and Gabriela Juron; one great grandson Blake Bennie; Brother Ricky Wolven and companion Lisa Rodriguez, many nieces and nephews and longtime Companion Astrid Salamone.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Edwin and LeRoy and sisters Shirley, Joyce and Lillian.

A funeral service was held Friday, Jan. 4, at the Millspaugh Funeral Homat with Rev. James Van Houten officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Walden Humane Society, P.O. Box 135, Walden, NY 12586. Arrangements were made by Millspaugh Funeral Directors.
