Kenneth V. Phillips, Sr., age 83, of Pine Bush passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019.
He was the owner of Ken's Body Shop in Pine Bush. He was a beloved father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, talking on his CB radios, watching NASCAR and spent countless hours talking to anyone who would visit his shop.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents Vincent Phillips and Mary Biatrice Rose, his wife Doris (Jobson) Phillips, and his son, James Vincent Phillips. He is survived by his son, Kenneth V. Phillips, Jr. and his wife, Jean; daughter-in-law Donna Phillips; grandchildren Kenneth James, James Douglas and his fiancé Maggie Harjes, Valerie Marie and her fiancé Michael Swankie, and Vicki Lynn and her husband Edward Vingoe; great-grandsons Dallin Gray, Dakota James and Edward James; and his fiancé Barbara Gerard.
Ken's grandson Kenny has written ,"Pop-Pop was the best grandpa I could ever have. We will always love you and I will think about you whenever I see an old square body Chevy truck."
At Ken's wishes, cremation will be private and the family will hold a memorial service at a later point in time. Arrangements entrusted to the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc.
