A snowy February has come to an end.  The year is already slipping by fast!
I hope everyone is safe and warm.

Speaking of time slipping by - The Valley Central School District will be conducting Kindergarten Registration for the 2020-2021 school year during the month of March.  Specific dates and times will vary according to building.  Only those children who will be five years old on or before December 1, 2020 will be enrolled for the upcoming school year.  Parents should call their local elementary school as soon as possible to assure their child’s name is on the mailing list to receive registration information.  Registration packets will be mailed approximately three weeks prior to the registration date for each individual building.
PLEASE NOTE:  Current Valley Central Universal Pre-K students DO NOT need to re-enroll, but should notify the District if they will not be attending in September.
For more information, please contact your local elementary school or Janine Maridou, Central Registrar at 845-427-2400, ext. 18130.

Maybrook’s own Gabby Miyoshi, Orange County Dairy Princess was named “Promoter of the Year 2019-2020” at the New York State Dairy Pageant.  This award recognized the county that best promotes milk and dairy products.  The award is presented in memory of Robert S. Turner, who was a strong supporter of the Dairy Princes Program.
Gabby did an awesome job.  You might have seen her at some fairs and festivals around Orange County before the pandemic hit!
Congratulations Gabby!!!

Remember that you can get updated information on the Covid pandemic at Villageofmaybrook.com.  Mayor Dennis always posts updates.  You can see updates on other events and happenings as well.

Are you interested in helping Veterans?  The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 2064 right here in Maybrook is always looking for new members to help them.  You must be an immediate relative of a Veteran who was deployed to foreign soil during wartime.  For more information, please call Donna Caudy at 845-614-5644 or email me at llarosa60@gmail.com.

My deepest condolences go out to the Bolster Family! Judy Bolster went to her heavenly home.  In whatever way you pray, please think of her husband Neal and their son Ryan (one of Maybrook’s Eagle Scouts).

Hopefully now that people are getting their vaccines, there will be more interesting and fun events happening in the near future!  I’ll keep you updated as best I can, in the meantime,
BE SAFE AND HEALTHY
