The Gardiner Library will host Kitchen Herbal Wisdom for Winter Health with Ashley Sapir Lathrop on Sunday, January 13 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The cost is $15 or $20 day of event. Pre-registration is required by January 11.

Learn how to prevent colds and flus this winter by viewing your kitchen as a healing apothecary. Herbalist Ashley Sapir Lathrop, of Dreamkeeper Botanicals, will share tried and true nutritional and herbal methods for building the immune system. Topics will include how to make healing broths, use fermented foods and beverages, and which herbs and super foods to stock your pantry with.

Ashley Sapir Lathrop has been studying and teaching about herbal medicine for over fifteen years. Ashley founded Dreamkeeper Botanicals to help others learn to use local herbs in the traditional ways. She offers holistic health consultations and teaches workshops for both individuals and groups. You can find out more about Ashley and her work at dreamkeeperbotanicals.com.

To pre-register for the class, call the library at 255-1255 or stop by 133 Farmer’s Turnpike in Gardiner, NY. Classes take place in the library community room.
