I’m back, it seems like forever since we have chatted. If you have information for my column remember that I am on a twice a month schedule. My next column is June 19th.

Montgomery Senior Center’s weekly Senior events: Week of June 3rd. Monday - 9 am Group Exercise , 11 am Bingo, 1 pm Chair Yoga. Tuesday - 9 am Body Toning, Silverado Steppers at 10 am. Wednesday 9 am Walk 15, 1 pm Pickle Ball. Thursday - 9 am -10 am Computer Ed.. 9 am Walking Club, 10 am Chair Yoga, 11:30 Lunch and Learn with Sue Nichols. Friday - 9 am Cards and Games.

On Wednesday June 26, the Montgomery Senior Center will sponsor a Saratoga Race Track and Casino Day Trip. Please stop in or call for details.

On Thursday June 27th at 1 pm they will have an Ice Cream Social, please call to RSVP.

Wednesday, September 18, 2019 a trip to the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse to see Barefoot in the Park. Cost is $65 includes transportation, ticket and lunch and dessert buffet.

Wednesday November 6th, a trip to the Germanfest at Silver Birches includes music,dancing, family style German meal & much more. Cost is $50.

It’s that time of year when families and students are busy preparing for Graduation Day events.

Here are some to keep you updated from the Valley Central High School. Senior Dinner June 5th at the Spruce Lodge at 6:30 pm. Senior Awards Night June 17th in the HS auditorium. Cap & Gown distribution in the school store on June 24th. Graduation practice in the gym and on the field, all day long on June 26. All leading up to the big day, Graduation on June 29 at 6 pm sharp.

After Graduation is the All Night Grad Party for graduating seniors , no guests. The celebration begins at 11 p.m. and ends the following morning at 5:00 am.

Students must arrive by midnight. Students may leave early BUT only after parents have been notified.

After leaving, students are not allowed to return.

From the Montgomery Free Library, the Summer Reading Program “ A Universe of Stories” will be held July 10-17-24 and 31 at 10:30 am. It is for children ages 3-5 and Miss Roseann will return to read and lead the group with a craft session. Please call or stop in to register beginning 6-26 as space is limited, 457-5616.

The Friends of the Montgomery Free Library will also be having a Summer Reading Program for older chlidren. Watch this column for more on that or call or stop by the library.

Seniors don’t forget the Dial a Bus for your medical and shopping transportation.

A Semi Truck, Car, Bike, Race Car and Tractor Show will be held on Saturday June 8th at the Valley Central High School , parking lot. It will be from 10 am to 3 pm rain or shine.

The event is hosted by Steele Horse Foundation in memory of Gary O’Donnell.

The 2019 season of the Montgomery Village Museum has begun. It is located at 142 Clinton St. Call 457-757

On Wednesday June 12th the Town of Montgomery Chamber of Commerce will be holding their annual Chamber Dinner. It will be held at 6 pm at the Maybrook Senior Center.

Local businesses that will be honored are: Shop Rite of Montgomery , Verizon Wireless Zone of Montgomery, Mod 66 Salon & Spa in the Village of Montgomery and Hudson Heritage Federal Credit Union of Montgomery .
