Maloney’s Valentines for Veterans program is in its sixth year

Posted

On Friday, Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) delivered a record 7,800 Valentine’s Day cards to Hudson Valley veterans at the Castle Point VA Medical Center in Wappingers Falls. This marks the sixth consecutive year that veterans across the Hudson Valley will receive Valentine’s Day greetings through Maloney’s Valentines for Veterans program.

“Writing a valentine may seem like a small gesture, but it really makes a big impact on Hudson Valley’s veteran community,” said Maloney. “It’s a great way to show gratitude for our veterans’ service and sacrifice, and honor them with the love and appreciation they deserve. Thank you to everyone who took the time to write a Valentine’s Day card to our veterans this year.”

Over 100 Hudson Valley schools, libraries, Girl Scout troops, businesses and individuals participated in the sixth annual Valentines for Veterans drive.
