The Montgomery Food Pantry will offer food for all federal employees affected by the partial government shutdown.
While the federal government reopened on Friday, employees will be getting their paychecks for back pay sometime this week, depending on the agency.
The pantry offers a three- or four-day supply of food, including groceries, meats, eggs, bread, fresh vegetables, comfort food, baby food and diapers. Assistance will be available through the end of January.
Located at 2200 Route 211, Montgomery, the pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday mornings and 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evenings. Those asking for assistance must bring proof of federal employment and be a Valley Central school district resident.
