Paul F. “Kicker” Boat of Walden, a retired Lighting Tech for Osram Corp., Maybrook and a lifelong resident of the area died Friday, August 2, 2019, at home. He was 76.

The son of the late Lewis and Helen Boat, he was born April 06, 1943 in Newburgh. He served in the Army during Vietnam Era, stationed in Germany.

He was a member of the Rock Band “The Sound Senders” in the 1960’s. He played the keyboard and guitar. He was a 50 year member of Walden United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Nancy Baldwin Boat at home; brother J. Donald Boat of Gardiner; brother-in-law, Donald Baldwin and his wife Nancy of Walden; cousins Theresa Hallock of Walden and Wesley Boat of California; nieces Lisa and her husband John Giannino; Donielle and her husband Duke Lake; grandniece Alannah and grandnephew, Sean Giannino; sister-in-law Marie Terwilliger; family friends Joyce Perry and her family, the Pennings family and the Rainey family.

He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Stuhmer & sister-in-law Cheryl Boat.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 9, at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, with Pastor Scharlise Dorsey will officiate. Burial was in New Prospect Cemetery in Pine Bush.

In lieu of flowers it is requested that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300 Jacksonville, FL 32256 woundedwarriorproject.org/donate in Paul’s memory.
