Phillip John Andrew Callahan of Montgomery, a longtime resident of the area, passed away suddenly Monday, February 15, 2021, in Montgomery. He was 59.
The son of Andrew and Joy Marie Lesage Callahan, he was born December 1,1961, in Spangler, PA.
Phillip was a truck driver for Metroplex, in Harriman, NY. He was a member of Grace Community Church in Washingtonville. Family always came first to Phil. He loved to make people laugh and could lighten any mood. He enjoyed boating and hunting and really was a jack of all trades. There was never a time you couldn’t depend on him, he was there for so many people and would do anything to help others.
Survivors include his wife Janet at home; sons Eric Johnston and Jamie of Montgomery and Brendan Johnston of Montgomery; daughter Ashlee Callahan & Bradley Vellenga of Montgomery; grandchildren Hayden and Rowen Johnston; sister Michele Callahan and Paul Antonucci of Cornwall; brother Andrew Callahan and wife Debbie of Cornwall; sister Della Melrose and husband Gary of Cornwall; Nieces & Nephews Patrick, Matthew & Kate Callahan, Morgan Lee Georges , Megan Melrose-Lucia; good friends Phil Albert, Jimmy Lynch and Mike Sacco
Funeral services and cremation will take place privately.
