Lecture series presented on women’s voting rights

The Pine Bush Area Public Library presents “Women Get the Vote,” a four-part lecture series on the ratification of the 19th Amendment.

This live lecture series will be presented by Joseph Britto, Adjunct Assistant Professor, SUNY Orange and Professor Emeritus SUNY New Paltz. The lectures will be held at the Town of Crawford Government Center in the conference room on the 2nd floor from 6:30 – 7:30 pm on the following dates:

October 15 - Women’s Place?!

October 22 - Seneca Falls

October 29 - Disputes Within the Movements

November 12 - Unfinished Business

Please RSVP by calling the library at 744-4265, extension 2. You must register to attend this program. There will be no walk-ins admitted.

Pine Bush Library hosts a Halloween Dog costume parade

Bring your furry friends in costume on October 24 at 11 a.m. to the Pine Bush Area Public Library community room parking lot for a dog costume parade.

There will be water for the dogs and refreshments for their accompanying humans. Judges will be reviewing all entries.

Please bring poop bags and keep your dog on a leash. Social distancing and masks will be required.

Decorate your pumpkin for the Pine Bush Library contest

Bring a decorated (but not carved) pumpkin to the Pine Bush Library for a decorating contest on Saturday, October 24.

Entries must be received by 10:15 a.m. If you cannot attend the event, but would like to enter the contest, please drop off your finished pumpkins inside the children’s section on Friday, October 23, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Judging will begin at 10:30 a.m. One pumpkin entry per family. Social distancing and masks are required.
