The Village Preservation Committee will hold their placemaking tour of the Montgomery area on Saturday, Oct. 17. This event will allow residents to express their ideas regarding the kinds of businesses and developments they would like to see.
The group will be walking through Maybrook at 9 a.m. They will meet at the Village of Maybrook Senior Center, 2 Senior Way, Maybrook.
Then the committee will meet at 10 a.m. at Walden Village Hall, 1 Municipal Square, Walden.
Lastly, the group will walk through the Village of Montgomery. They will meet at Montgomery Senior Center, 36 Bridge Street in Montgomery at 11 a.m.
There is no charge for this event and the public is encouraged to join.
Social distancing guidelines will be followed and masks are required for participation in the tour.
“If you live, work or play in these villages, this is your chance to share your opinion and experience,” said Village Preservation Committee Founder Randi Greene. “We will be sharing the information we gather with the Comprehensive Plan Committee and the Corridor Study. I urge you to be there. This is an easy, lighthearted and well-intended way to have meaningful input in the future of our villages.”
The rain date for this event is Sunday, Oct. 18.
