Walden Fire Department thanks Bruderhof for new table

Posted

Walden P. D. Sergeant/Walden Fire Department Fire Commissioner Roy Werner sends a huge shout out to our local Bruderhof Community at Fox Hill for their generous donation of materials, time and expertise to build a special table for members to use in their recreation room.

The center of the table holds their current department patch while the outer edge is lined with names of the eight fire service organizations that have served our community. The department chose this layout so that everyday members are reminded of their history, because the patch in the middle would not be there today without the contributions of those eight organizations and their members.

They range from the original Walden Fire Department’s Incorporation that dates back to the 1830s to the youngest of the eight, the 119 year old Col. Bradley Hose Company. Special thanks to Jason Swinger!

N. Y. School of Music sends a big thank you to Rodney Ingram (who starred as Raoul in Phantom of the Opera) for his recent visit to their school. All in attendance were feted to several selections and a dynamic, honest talk about coming up in the art industry. He truly made a connection with the students and encouraged them to pursue their goals.

Can’t wait for a return visit!
