Sparkle & shine winners announced

The lights and spirits were bright in Wallkill as the businesses and residents decorated with lights, wreaths, trees, deer and many other decorations for the annual Sparkle & Shine decorating contest, sponsored by Vision of Wallkill.

Categories for the decorating contest were Traditional, Original, Contemporary, Kids and Community Favorite. My Father Sam’s Barber Shop, once again the top winner, used creativity to offer a scene from a classic family Christmas movie. The winner for the Children’s theme decorations brought smiles to children of all ages. The decorating contest helps to make Wallkill shine and offers both competition and camaraderie among the businesses and homeowners.

Winners are invited to the Shawangunk Town Board Meeting on Thursday January 16 at 7 p.m. where certificates will be awarded.
