A 40-acre summer camp in Pine Bush has recently been put on the market in a sealed bid auction.

Located at 450 Walker Valley Road, the property includes a 10,000-square-foot dining hall and multi-purpose building which has been gutted and is ready for rehab; five two- to four-bedroom cabins, one bunkhouse; and a 2,000-square-foot storage building, according to the site description from Cricket Hill auctioneers.

The site also includes parking, fields and flats areas for building, hiking trails, more than 1,000 feet of river frontage, three productive wells and more.

Senior Auctioneer William Jarema said the benefit of the property is it has many different uses.

“While its been approved to run as a camp and retreat center, it could be used for any number of other purposes,” Jarema said.

The site operated as a summer camp and year-round conference and retreat center from the 1960s to 2011 and has been well maintained ever since.

Site visits are by appointment only or the site visit days of April 29 and the tentative date of May 8 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Unsupervised site vists are not permiteed. Bids are due by May 22 at 5 p.m.
