Library to host Teddy Bear Tea Party
The Gardiner Library will host a Virtual Teddy Bear Tea Party via Zoom on Friday August 7 at 11 a.m.  Children up to 7 years old are invited to gather their teddy bears, favorite drinks, treats and dress up for this virtual event. Miss Amy will lead the fun with teddy bear stories, songs and a simple craft with stuffed animal friends. E-mail Amy at alaber@rcls.org to register and receive the Zoom link

Virtual Children’s Program: Page Turners
The Gardiner Library is excited to announce a Virtual Summer Children’s Program from Page Turner Adventures premiering on August 10 entitled “Imagine Your Underwater Story”. Kids at home get wet and wild with this underwater comedy show featuring everyone’s favorite small but mighty superheroes, Melvin the Mantis Shrimp and Agatha the Axiotl.
Kids at home will learn tons of weird watery fun facts when they play our trivia game show, GET SOAKED. And everyone can cool off with our sandpaper craft, paper towel tube rainsticks, and bubble art. Older kids will love Hydro-Dipping as they create one-of-a-kind designs in this creative craze that’s sweeping Youtube. We have two amazing writers this week. Author, poet, storyteller, and former librarian, Shutta Crum will make it rain with her book THUNDER BOOMER and Author/Illustrator Janeen Mason will wow us with her OCEAN COMMOTION series of picture books. Our guest performer, Burl the Bubble Guy comes to us all the way from Cologne, Germany! And he will blow your mind with an awesome bubble show.

Families are able to access this Virtual Comedy Theater show from its premiere through Labor Day. Contact Amy Laber at alaber@rcls.org for password to access the programming and  visit the Ulster County Library Association at uclib.org/srp-2020/events to on or after the premiere date. Another Page Turner show entitled “Imagine Your Underwater Story” premieres on August 10.
