Trump embraces the QAnon following

Posted

I was curious about this QAnon conspiracy theory that was frequently mentioned in political articles on the internet. I wanted to know what it stood for and its origin. Was I shocked and horrified when I researched it.

QAnon is an umbrella internet conspiracy theory that suggests there is a global cabal of Satanic-worshipping pedophiles who participate in a child sex-trafficking ring. Under this umbrella is the belief Democrats Hillary Clinton, former President Barack Obama, billionaire Democrat donor George Soros, celebrities Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, Ellen DeGeneres, others and even Pope Francis are all involved in this cabal. As an offshoot of this theory it proposes Hillary Clinton and other Democrats are running a human sex-trafficking ring in the basement of a pizza parlor in Washington D.C. Hence the term pizzagate emerges in my research.

In the US this cabal(conspiracy club) is plotting against President Trump. It is further suggested the US military generals enlisted Trump to run for office so he can break up this global cabal that is controlling our politics and media. People, no part of this QAnon conspiracy theory has any basis in fact. This is a twisted, destructive, defamatory and dangerous theory that is spreading on the internet via the social media platforms, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. As per the NY Times it has a huge subscriber following. The QAnon followers communicate through cryptic codewords in internet chat rooms and such. Not only has this conspiracy cancer seeped its tentacles online but also offline; back in April a QAnon zealot was arrested for threatening to shoot former Vice President Joe Biden. The FBI declared the QAnon zealots are a potential domestic terrorist group.

As you can clearly see by now most of the people targeted and maligned are Democrats. At some past Trump rallies I did notice supporters carrying signs with the letter Q on them and also wearing pro-Trump shirts with an encircled letter Q on the front of them representing this harmful and heinous conspiracy theory. To top it off, Marjorie Greene, an avowed QAnon follower, recently won a Georgia Congressional primary in a safe, conservative district who will likely win in the November election. Soon thereafter Trump tweeted Marjorie Greene is a future rising star in the Republican Party. Instead of disassociating himself from these warp-minded QAnon followers, Trump warmly receives them, even applauds them and is thankful for their support. Then again, as per his former National Security advisor John Bolton with firsthand knowledge while in the administration, Trump constantly looks for conspiracy theories under every rock, any such theories to use for political advantage. Do we still want our nation engulfed in Trump’s ugly and vile world??? I think not. Let’s find the exit door and leave his world by defeating him with our vote in November’s election. Postscript: Nobody knows who actually started the QAnon conspiracy theory.
