Valley Central School District holds open registration

The Valley Central School District is currently conducting new student registration.
Registration will be conducted at the Administration Building at 944 State Route 17K in Montgomery on August 20-22.

Registration will be conducted on a “first come, first serve” basis from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Long waiting periods are to be expected, so please leave young children at home if possible. Registration packets must be completed prior to meeting with the Registrar and may be obtained at any Valley Central school building or downloaded off the District website. The parent or legal guardian must be present during registration and must provide valid photo ID. Although students need not accompany their parents, high school age students must make an additional appointment with a guidance counselor to schedule their classes.

The following documents are required to register all students: property tax bill, mortgage statement, or signed rental agreement, as well as a current utility bill. (Additional details on proof of residency are available on the District website), the child’s complete immunization record, and an original birth certificate (photocopies will not be accepted). Students entering high school must also provide a high school transcript. Additionally, if there are any special circumstances (i.e. custody papers, IEP’s, etc.) these documents are also required.
For more information, please contact Janine Maridou, Central Registrar, at 457-2400, ext. 18130, or visit the District website at .vcsd.k12.ny.us. Thank you.
