Walden welcomes a new bookstore

Posted

I’m so happy to report that Alex Jakubowski and Amanda Crowell have opened their second book store -The Broad Leaf Book Store located at 49 Main Street, Walden. They also have another bookstore located in Pine Bush at 85A Main Street. Both stores are open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Alex and Amanda are looking forward to being a part of our community. They are a used book shop with over 50 categories of books. New books from local authors are carried as well. You can also find records, CDs, DVDs and audiobooks in the shop as well as local craftspeople’s products. In the future they will sponsor author and book discussion events. They do not buy books or offer credit, however, they like donations! Think of it as “rehoming” books which enable low prices. They rescue books in the same way people rescue pets and they want all of them to find the right home. If you are looking for a particular book, please ask and they will check their inventory at both stores as well as their extensive inventory of over 60,000 more books.
Please stop by Broad Leaf Book Store and give them a warm Walden welcome. They look forward to seeing you to come by and browse. Phone contact them at 845-313-5806 or email broadleafbookstore@gmail.com.
