Winding Hills Club getting a facelift

Winding Hills Golf Club in Montgomery is making improvements to its banquet venue, which partygoers will surely appreciate.

The indoor space will have a whole new bar area. In addition, this space will include a restaurant called “Graze”.

The inside area will feature elegant white walls with classy chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Glass doors and windows will line the wall, so partygoers can get a glimpse of the fun happening outside. Potted plants reside in each corner of the indoor area, creating a relaxing atmosphere. There is also a fireplace to keep guests warm. The indoor area has capacity for 100 guests.

The fun will continue on the venue’s outdoor patio. There will be a pond as well as a waterfall. A wooden bridge will be built, connecting one part of the patio to the other. Bushes, trees and flowers will provide guests with pretty scenery. The patio’s fire pit will keep guests warm as the sun goes down. Guests will be able to enjoy drinks at the tiki bar. Reported capacity for the patio is 100 guests.

In addition, there is a tent that sits next to the patio and provides a spacious and customizable atmosphere for any type of event. The tent features a much larger capacity, accommodating 200 guests.

The Winding Hills Golf Club chose to make updates to its banquet venue in order to keep up with the ever changing wedding industry.

“We’re really trying to keep up with the wedding industry,” said Kay Rayer, director of events for The Venue at Winding Hills.

When the club first opened, it was designed as a home for golfers. Since then, the club has expanded and now holds weddings, banquets and restaurant services.

Rayer hopes that the new and improved venue will open by April 15. The venue’s first big event is scheduled for Memorial Day weekend. She is excited to see the renovated venue host some stellar events.

“It’s an eclectic space for any type of event,” Rayer said.
