DECLARATION OF DISASTER EMERGENCY
Pursuant to Section 24 of the New York Executive Law and in accordance with the Code and Charter of the City of Newburgh, New York, I, Mike Neppl, Acting City Manager of the City of Newburgh, New York, do hereby extend for five days the declaration of disaster emergency promulgated on April 24th, 2023, and extended on April 29th, May 4th, May 9th, and May 14th. This State of Emergency has been declared due to severe flooding in the administrative building and primary pump room of the wastewater treatment plant that occurred on Sunday, April 23rd, 2023 in the City of Newburgh. The State of Emergency has been issued to allow the City to continue to make repairs on an emergency basis.
