Raiders register two wins at home, host tourney this weekend

On September 17, the boys beat Liberty 3-0 with a goal by Asher Dabkowski and two from Josias Jarrett. In goal, David Osgood had five saves. Liberty goalie Selkir Molina had five stops in the box.

On September 19 – a late-afternoon Saturday game – the team went into overtime against Monticello and eeked out a 1-0 win on a goal two minutes and thirty seconds into the OT period, by Jarret. Goalie Osgood had four saves in the game.

The Raiders went into the new school week with a 4-2 record.

They took on Port Jervis on the road on September 23, before the start of the annual Ranieri Tournament at home this weekend. The first boys’ games are Red Hook versus Burke Catholic on September 24 at 4:30 p.m., and O’Neill versus Ellenville at the same time. The girls’ portion of the tournament kicks off at 6:30 that evening, with O’Neill taking on Ellenville and Burke Catholic playing Chester Academy. (Both of O’Neill’s turf fields will be in use for the tournament, with games running concurrently.)

The tournament concludes on Saturday, Sept. 26, with the girls’ consolation and championship games at 4:30 p.m. and the boys’ consolation and championship games at 6:30 p.m.
