Duck Derby

The Valley Central Scholarship Council, supported by the Montgomery Fire Department, will present its 6th Annual Duck Derby on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature family-friendly activities, including face painting, kids' games, and a display of firetrucks. Tickets for games and face painting will be available for purchase. The Duck Derby, where firemen will assist the ducks along the course, will begin at noon and end at the finish line at the Pleasure Ground Park in Montgomery Participants can adopt a duck for $5 or six ducks for $25. Tickets can be purchased at vcsc1964.com. Prizes include $500 for first place, $250 for second, and $100 for third. Winners need not be present. All proceeds will benefit the Valley Central Scholarship Council.
