Anna T. Crudele, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021. She was 91. Ann was born in Tornolo, Province of Parma, Italy to the late Luigi and Angela (Restani) Filiberti. She was married to the late John Crudele, whom she married on September 2, 1956 in Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh.

Anna, a resident of New Windsor for over 75 years, graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1948. She worked as a bank teller for Columbus Trust and was co-owner of Crudele’s Restaurant that she and her late husband operated in New Windsor for many years. Ann was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, and a former member of the New Windsor Seniors and Cornwall Seniors Brunch.

Ann was a remarkable cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her family every Sunday, all holidays and for all of the summer time gatherings. Mom loved life and she talked to everyone, and always had a smile. We are sure she has a smile ear to ear now that she has been reunited with our dad, her grandson Joseph, her boy Pongo and all of her family and friends that departed before her. “When you speak of her, speak not with tears, for thoughts of her should not be sad. Let memories of the time you shared give you comfort, for her life was rich.”

Ann is survived by her children: Linda A. Crudele-Riccio and Kevin Klein of Murrells Inlet, SC, John A. Crudele and his wife Lizette of New City, NY and Angela C. Thompson and Thomas Prendergast of New Windsor, NY; her grandchild Alexa J. Crudele of New City, NY; as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her grandson Joseph F. Riccio Jr. and son-in-law William Thompson.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in the form of contributions to the Joseph F. Riccio Jr. Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 2207, Kingston, NY 12401.
