Anne Marie Johnson was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She passed on December 12th at the age of 74.  She was surrounded by her immediate family in her final days.

Born on December 28th, 1946, she was predeceased by her mother Marie Gallant.  She is survived by her husband Arthur Paul Johnson, and an adoring family that includes her children Marlaine Scotto (husband Tony Scotto), Eric Johnson (wife Alison Johnson) and four grandchildren: Dominick Scotto, Vincent Scotto, Eleanor Johnson, and Evelyn Johnson.  She is also survived by brothers John Gallant (wife Miriam), and Danny Gallant as well as several nieces and nephews.

Anne was born in Rumford, Maine and spent her childhood in Bridgeport, Connecticut where she met her husband.  They settled into their home in New Windsor, where they have resided for 46 years. She worked for more than ten years in the Waldbaum’s Bakery followed by a long tenure with Sears where she eventually retired from.  She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church that attended mass weekly.

Her passions included dancing, bird watching, following the New York Mets, and avid reading.  In her later years she took great pleasure in the company of a core group of friends that would get together regularly for movies and lunches together.

Visitation will be Monday, December 20, 2021, 11am-1pm at Overhiser Funeral Home, 78 Union St., Montgomery

A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1:30pm, at Holy Name of Mary Church, 89 Union St., Montgomery
