Barbarann (Dachenhausen) Vache age 84 of Highland passed away December 15, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.
Born on December 5, 1934 in New Rochelle NY, Barbarann was the daughter of the late Hugo and Mary Dachenhausen. In 1953 she married Donald Vache who predeceased her on February 15, 1999.
She is survived by her devoted children David Vache, Dawne Fay and her husband Richard, Dorene McDougal and her husband Nathan and Diane Vitarius. Four grandchildren, Anne Bombino and her husband Raymond, Laura McDougal and her companion Christopher Strang, Sean Fay and his wife Jennifer and Shelby Vitarius and her companion Bryan Sickler as well one brother, Lawrence Dachenhausen of Ruby. A second brother, Hugo Dachenhausen predeceased her. . She is also survived by her loving cat Checkers who was always at her side.
She was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church of Highland. The family would also like to thank Arlene Dauber whom Barbara referred to as her fourth daughter for all of her support during this difficult time.
Visitation will be held from 3 – 7 on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the United Methodist Church Vineyard Avenue, Highland. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on December 20, 2018 at the United Methodist Church officiated by Reverend Arlene Dawber. Interment will follow at the New Paltz Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations be sent to the United Methodist Church of Highland, Vineyard Avenue, Highland.
