Bodily autonomy

Posted

I am responding to Mr. Henricksen’s op-ed that was published on November 4. He referred to opposition to vaccine mandates as “bosh”. He claims that these mandates aren’t tyrannical, and that the real tyranny lies in political leaders like myself stating that taking the vaccine is a personal choice.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Forcing anyone to be vaccinated is a violation of bodily autonomy. We own our bodies, not the government, and we and we alone have the right to decide what we do with our bodies and what we inject into our bodies. I am not a tyrant; I stand for bodily autonomy and medical freedom.

Mr. Henricksen’s claim that New York is among the states with the lowest incidences of Covid deaths is blatantly false. It is actually the Southern states which fall under this category. Several counties in New York are current Covid hotspots, while Florida, with no mask or vaccine mandates, has zero.

Choosing not to wear a mask is not murderous or tyrannical - away with such bosh preposterousness!
