Bonnie J. McIntyre, of Highland, entered into rest on Monday, January 18, 2021. She was 70.

Daughter of the late George and Jean (Goemann) Barnett, she was born on May 20, 1950 in Newburgh, NY.

A lifelong area resident, Bonnie was a retired Service Clerk for the United States Military Academy, West Point. She loved and cherished her children and her cat, Peanut. Bonnie was a fan of ice cream and enjoyed her weekly outings with the “lunch bunch”. Bonnie was loved by many throughout her life. Her smile and quick wit will be remembered by the many lives she touched. She loved her friends and family, and everyone she met became family,

Survivors include a son, Scott Denniston and his wife Thomasina of New Windsor; a daughter, Courtney Griffin and her husband Michael of Highland; two brothers, Bill Barnett and his wife Linda of Newburgh and Bruce Barnett and his wife Pam of Wappingers Falls; one sister, Lois Brundage and her husband Harry of Schroon Lake, NY; one grandson on the way; a God daughter, Susan Brundage and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was predeceased by a brother, Gary Barnett.

A funeral service was held Friday, January 22, at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, the Rev. Jeffery Hooker officiating.

Private interment will take place in the family plot at Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.
