Bridge work to begin in NW

Posted

New Windsor Town Board approved the authorization of a utility work agreement between New Windsor, the City of Newburgh and New York State Department of Transportation [NYSDOT] that will see a new water meter pit installed and water main relocation by the City of Newburgh.

This work will be conducted at the Quassaick Creek Bridge near Gus’s Restaurant and Tavern as part of the city’s Walsh Road over Quassaick Creek Bridge Project. The approved agreement was revised to state clearly specific ownership of the water main, meter pit, valves and hydrant that are to be replaced.

No date was mentioned on when that work was to commence and be completed by the city.
