The Good Will Fire Deartment will host the 107th Orange County Volunteer Firemen’s Association Parade on Saturday, Sept. 24. Stepoff is 2 p.m.

The parade will go from the intersection of Taft and Woodlawn, continue onto Route 52 (South Plank Road) and up to Algonquin Park.

OCVFA President Ray VanInwegen from Good Will presided over opening ceremonies Sunday morning at the Good Will Firehouse.

Two Orange County Firefighter’s Bagpipes led the marchers to the flagpole. Master of Ceremonies John Conner welcomed everyone to the ceremony. Colors were presented by Anthony Novella and the Battalion Three Color Guard. Dan Olympia and Ed Pretorius raised the flag as members were called to attention by Past Chief Jeffry Holmes.

Sgt/Major Mary Kay Messenger sang the National Anthem, while the Invocation was given by Deacon Peter Haight. President VanInwegen thanked everyone and wished all departments good luck with the parade on Saturday. Recording Secretary Dorothy Brown read the names of the deceased members, accompanied by the ringing of a bell.
