Chadwick Woods seeks approvals

The Town of Newburgh Planning Board approved to refer to the Town Board the project known as Chadwick Woods for approval on three lots on a private driveway and to review town water access for several of the lots.

The five lot subdivision is proposed to be built on an existing 14.91 acre parcel located along Route 300 in the town. It would be 1,000 feet southwest of Chadwick Lake.

According to Engineer Ross Winglovitz, the proposed project has been revised and now the private access is no longer included. Instead the project proposes three lots off a common driveway and two lots off another common driveway.

Two of the proposed lots are proposed to be connected to town water and the remaining three lots would be serviced by on-site wells. With the water connection code requirement, the town board must review the section of code before making a determination on whether or not town connection is required.
