The City of Newburgh is seeking volunteers to serve on the Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) to fill two (2) member positions. Individuals interested in volunteering must apply by August 31, 2024.
The TAC is responsible for advising the City Council on parking and transportation-related matters as well as to guide and review the preparation of transportation and parking plans and programs.
Among the functions and duties of the TAC shall be to evaluate and make recommendations on various issues, including but not limited to parking, traffic and transportation, including alternative transportation modes such as pedestrian and bicycling.
The TAC meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Heritage Center, 123 Grand Street, Newburgh, NY 12550. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend the monthly meetings. Appointment to the TAC is by the City Council. Appointed individuals will fill the remaining portion of any unexpired term or a full term of two years.

Paper copies of the application are available in the office of the City Clerk at 83 Broadway, Newburgh, NY 12550. Applicants may submit a letter of intent in lieu of an application. The letter of intent must contain answers to the questions found in the application available online or in the office of the City Clerk.
