Council to conduct hybrid meeting, work session

The City of Newburgh Council Work Sessions and Regular Council Meetings will be conducted in a hybrid format to allow members of the public to attend in-person or virtually. All meetings will continue to be livestreamed via Zoom videoconference, the City’s website, and Facebook pages, as well as recorded. Both the recording and a transcript will be made available at a later date.

Immediately following the conclusion of the Council Work Session on Thursday, November 4, 2021, the City Council is expected to convene an executive session to discuss matters pertaining to proposed, pending, or current litigation. Please note that the City Council Work Session on Thursday, November 4 at 6 p.m. will be at City Hall, 83 Broadway, Newburgh.

To access the Monday, November 8, Regular Council Meeting remotely at 7 p.m., join from a PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone, or Android device by registering via the following URL https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_MmmmTqFoQiCrMwE2bhuAGg. Please fill out the required information (First Name, Last Name, e-mail Address). After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the regular council meeting. The public will have an opportunity to provide comments regarding the City’s annual budget for Fiscal Year 2022 as well as comments regarding the agenda and general matters of City business.

Members of the public who wish to provide comments regarding the agenda and general matters of City business, during the November 8 meeting may do so in-person at the Council Chambers in City Hall. Please be advised capacity in the Council Chambers is limited. Alternatively, to join the regular meeting remotely on Monday, November 8, 2021, members of the public can register via Zoom by 4:00 p.m. on November 8. The participation guidelines for public comment via Zoom is available via the City website at https://www.cityofnewburgh-ny.gov/580/How-to-Provide-Public-Comments-Via-Zoom.

Public comments regarding the agenda and general matters of City business can also be submitted via email to comments@cityofnewburgh-ny.gov with the Subject Line in this format: “PUBLIC COMMENT ITEM” by Monday, November 8, 2021. Comments for public hearings can be submitted with the Subject Line in this format: “PUBLIC HEARING ITEM” via email to comments@cityofnewburgh-ny.gov.
