Emiline E. Smith, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Thursday, June 17, 2021. She was 74.
Daughter of the late Raymond Blauvelt, Sr. and Rosetta (Christopher) Blauvelt, she was born February 24, 1947 in the Village of Suffern, NY.
Emiline was a homemaker. She was raised on the family farm in Chestnut Ridge, NY, attended Nyack College, and enjoyed her family farm in New Paltz before moving to Newburgh.
Emiline loved to study the Bible, and up until her illness prevented it, she was in regular attendance in various Sunday School studies, local Worship services, and especially small home group Bible studies in Newburgh.
Survivors include her close friends and caregivers, Derek and Barbara Benedict of the Town of Newburgh, her wonderful extended church family, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Emiline was predeceased by her husband, George Vincent Smith in 2012; two brothers, Raymond Blauvelt, Jr. and Joel T. Blauvelt, and a sister in law, Dwayne Blauvelt.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 pm, Monday, June 21, 2021 at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh.
A Service will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael O’Dowd officiating.
Burial will follow at New Paltz Rural Cemetery.
