Newburgh firefighters responded to an alarm of fire on Saturday at 89 Overlook Place.
Upon arrival at approximately 1:46 p.m.,Truck 1 made entry and cleared the structure. Engine 1 then arrived, followed by Engine 3.
After all visible fire was extinguished from the exterior of the building Engine 3 entered 87 Overlook Place to check for fire in the attic. The fire was fully extinguished and units transitioned to overhaul and salvage by 2:03pm.
Ten people were displaced.
New Windsor, West Point, Stewart Air Guard, Cronomer Valley and Cornwall-on-Hudson responded with mutual aid.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by City of Newburgh Fire Investigators but appears to be accidental in nature.
