Gloria (Frannie) Presutti went home to God on September 23, 2022 at Sapphire Nursing Home in Newburgh. She was 95.
The daughter of the late William and Alphia Chambers, Gloria was born in Cooper, Texas. On January 28, 1945 Gloria married the love of her life, Harry Presutti. She worked with Harry in running his dance studio in Newburgh. She went on to work for Walgreens as a store manager, and also worked at Mount Saint Mary College. Gloria treasured her years at the Mount, where she formed many friendships working with the Dominican Sisters of Hope. Her Catholic faith was always important to her.
Gloria is survived by her two best friends, Pat Lanspery and Janice Roscino. We would like to thank the Sapphire Nursing Home for 13 years of care; all of Gloria’s nurses and caregivers; and in a special way, Shelly Lee, who welcomed her on the first day, and oversaw her care for all 13 years.
There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta/Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh with burial following at Calvary Cemetery in New Windsor.
