Gordon Lee Willden

Gordon Lee Willden, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Monday, December 24, 2018. He was 65.

Son of Gordon E. Willden and Sharon L. (Pickering) Moss, he was born on February 22, 1953 in Salt Lake City, UT.

A longtime area resident, family meant everything to Gordon. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1971 to 1977, and worked for many years as a night clerk at Stop n Shop in Poughkeepsie.

Gordon was an avid outdoorsmen that loved camping and fishing and was a skilled wood craftsman.
Survivors include his mother Sharon, of Salt Lake City, UT, his wife Frances A. Willden at home; a daughter Junnie Morales and her husband Paul of Camarillo, CA; a stepson, George Pettit of Maybrook; three grandchildren, Chase, Travis and Katie; one great grandson, Jaden and six sisters, Christine Polier of OR, Susan Willden of UT, Robin Davis of UT, Tammy Myers of UT, Delynn Everett of UT and Valeria High of OR.
In addition to his father, Gordon was predeceased by a stepfather Jack Moss, and a stepson Matthew J.A. Pettit.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 30 at the White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, with private cremation to follow at Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh.
