On May 13 at 11:21 p.m. City of Newburgh Police responded to 33 Hasbrouck St for a report of shots fired that came in through 911. Police arrived to find two victims, a 25-year-old resident of Rock Tavern deceased from a gunshot wound, and a 20-year-old resident of the Town of New Windsor in critical condition from a gunshot wound. Police provided emergency medical care for the victim on scene who was later transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

The second victim’s injuries are considered life threatening, and treatment is ongoing.

The City of Newburgh Police Department is actively investigating this incident. Police are looking for any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of this incident.
