Joseph J. Grimm Jr. of New Windsor NY died peacefully after a long illness in Beacon on March 21, 2023. Joe was the son of the late Joseph and Patricia Grimm.
Joe graduated from Highland Falls High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1963 as a member of the 38th Tactical Missile Wing stationed at Sembach Air Base, Germany. Joe was retired from the Social Security Administration as an operations supervisor, and he enjoyed a long retirement as an avid golfer. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Newburgh NY.
Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia (Irwin), son Patrick Grimm, daughter Diane Kirby, granddaughters Johnna Dion and her spouse Chris, Erin Duncan and her spouse Kevin, Taylor Crawford and her spouse William, 4 great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was also previously deceased by infant grandchild John Kirby.
The family would like to thank the North 2 and South 2 staff at the Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Beacon, NY. Although Joe was only there for 3 months, they gave him tender loving care during his stay.
In keeping with Joe’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 145 Benkard Avenue, Newburgh.
