Linda E. Brem, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Monday, May 17, 2021. She was 72.

Daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Ellingham) O’Dell, she was born on May 13, 1949 in Cornwall,.

A lifelong area resident, Linda was a retired Enforcement and Removal Assistant with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.  An avid bowler, she was an inductee of the Newburgh Women’s Bowling Hall of Fame.  She loved to read and vacation at the Outer Banks, North Carolina.  She was a loving Grandmother (known as Mimi) and enjoyed spending time with her three grandsons.

Survivors include a daughter, Courtney Mathews and her husband Jamie of Southington, CT; a brother, Donald O’Dell and his wife Lynn of Cornwall-on-Hudson; a brother in law, Kevin Bowman of FL; three grandchildren, Jason, Ryan and Sean; niece, Kate Bowman and nephew Sean Bowman.

She is predeceased by a sister, Karen Bowman.

Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory.

Memorial Visitation will take place from 2 to 4 m on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh.

A Celebration of Life will follow at 4 p.m.at the Funeral Home.
