Mabel E. Frost

Mabel E. Frost, of Newburgh, entered into rest on Sunday, January 30, 2022. She was 92.

Daughter of the late Benjamin C. and Mabel (Krismeyer) Smith, she was born on June 9, 1929 in Newburgh, NY.

Mabel was a retired machine operator for the former Star Expansion, Mountainville, NY. She was a devout member of the People’s Regular Baptist Church in Maybrook, NY who professed her faith to Jesus Christ on April 14, 1946. A lifelong Newburgh resident, she was a 1949 graduate of the Newburgh Free Academy. An avid fan of stock car racing, she spent many enjoyable days at the Orange County Fair Speedway and other race tracks in the area. She also had a love for cats, most recently, Lady, who has been happily rehomed.

Survivors include two nephews, David (Susan) Smith of New Paltz and Gary (Deborah) Smith of Wallkill; a niece-in-law, Judy (Don) Smith-Regalia of Wallkill; one great-great niece and five great-great nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mabel was predeceased by her husband, Hudson F. Frost; three brothers, Uzell “Smitty” Smith, Kenneth T. Smith and Ralph B. Smith; and a nephew, Edward A. Smith.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh, NY 12550.

A Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 pm at the Funeral Home, with Pastor Tom Jackson officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor.
