Mary Slack, formerly of Newburgh and Pine Bush, and Rye, East Sussex, England entered into rest on April 26,2023.

Born July 21, 1922 in Roseton, NY, she married William F. Slack Sr.(deceased) at Moulton Memorial Baptist Church on November 19, 1944. They were married for over 76 years.

She was a partner at William F. Slack Insurance Agency and Quassaick Service Company. Mary also supported her husband as they restored over 30 17th and 18th century homes in the United States and England. She spent her remaining years in Lakeland, Florida, Pine Bush, Nand lastly Valley View Nursing Home in Goshen.

Mary was active in the Masonic Affiliated Lodge, Juanita Court 112, Order of the Amaranth. She was a past Royal Matron and had several appointments to the Grand Lodge. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

Mary’s greatest memories were from her travels in Hungary and England. She made a point to wear makeup and lipstick well into her late 90’s and would not let the nurses at Valley View take her out of her room unless she had on perfume.

Mary is survived by her son Willian F. Slack Jr. and daughter in law, Sharon. Granddaughters Stacia Dively and her husband David, Erica and Melissa Slack. 2 Great-Grandchildren; James and Madeline. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews including Janna and Lynn whom appreciated their calls, mail and visits.

A Chapel Service will be held at Cedar Hill Mausoleum, Newburgh
