New Windsor Supervisor Stephen Bedetti proudly announced at the Monday, August 5 work session that the New Windsor Recreation Master Plan is 99% complete. Bedetti recognized and extended thanks to Councilwoman Eve Lincoln and the town’s engineering firm MHE Engineering for their work on the document.

The recreation master plan is a comprehensive document that will help the town in their future recreation projects and initiatives. Grant funding has been submitted for basketball and pickleball facilities to be built over at Kristi Babcock Memorial Park. However, the town was not able to receive that specific funding due to the document not available and other factors. Grants in the amount up to four million have been applied for by the town and hope to be acquired.
