Muriel Jaccoi, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Monday, May 17, 2021. She was 89.

Daughter of the late John and Maude (Freeman) Novak, she was born on May 2, 1932 in Bronx, NY. 

Muriel worked  in the healthcare  industry in her younger days. Muriel was all about family, especially her grandchildren.  She enjoyed cooking for her family, vacationing, and loved the beach.

She is survived by three sons, Ronald Jones of Port ST.  Lucie, FL, John Jones (Jaqueline) Jones and Michael (Joy) Jones, both of Stuart FL; four daughters, 

Debra Mackerer and Jamie (Michael Morgan) Jones, both of the Town of Newburgh,  Sandra Benson of Kissimmee, FL  and Jill Bunt of Matthews, NC; a sister, Gail Novak; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to being predeceased by her parents, she is twice widowed by her first husband James Jones in 1971 and second  husband Maurice Jaccoi In 2002 , two brothers,  John and Gary Novak; two sisters, Barbara Novak and Jean Palumbo;  four son-in-laws  and two grandchildren.

Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m .on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh.

Inurnment will take place 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, at Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor,.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s  Research Hospital, at www.stjude.org.

Arrangements are under the care of White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, Newburgh.
