On Monday, November 29, the Town of New Windsor announced on their website and platforms that all town meetings will be held virtually until further notice. With the current pandemic and the newly announced Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus, New Windsor is complying with Executive Orders issued by New York State Governor Hochul. On Friday, November 26, Hochul declared a state of emergency for the entire state. This state of emergency is set to last until January 15, 2022.

All Town Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Planning Board meetings will be hosted on Webex. The public can participate in the meetings through the various links. Facebook Live will also be utilized in livestreaming the meetings for the public. The public is not required to have a Facebook account in order to watch the meetings live according to the town website. The next town board meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 1 at 7 p.m. with the agenda coming out soon. Residents can find more information on the Town’s Facebook page with instructions on how to participate for public comment and hearings.
