Panagiotis “Peter” K. Kouroumousis, of Newburgh, formerly of Levittown, NY, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. He was 43.
Son of Kostas “Gus” and Lois (Willkens) Kouroumousis, he was born January 28, 1978 in East Meadow, NY.
Peter was a graduate of Island Trees High School, where he participated in various activities and won numerous awards and accolades for his athletic abilities. Those who knew Peter would describe him as a caring and generous person that would give anybody the shirt off his back. He had a wonderful personality and could always put a smile on your face. Peter enjoyed spending as much time as he could with friends and family, despite a tragic accident that left him partially disabled. He adored his faithful dachshund, Stretch, as well as his other four legged companions, Belle and Fritz. Peter’s kind and loving nature will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
In addition to his parents, Peter is survived by his significant other, Katie Yankow of New Windsor, NY; two brothers, John Ruppert of Daytona Beach, FL and William (Diane) Ruppert of East Meadow, NY; a sister, Christine (Vincent) Patti of Daytona Beach, FL; a niece Taylor, and a nephew Michael.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 2 to pm at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh.
A Prayer Service will follow visitation, 5:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
