Patricia A. Hunt, of the Town of New Windsor, entered into rest on Monday, June 7, 2021. She was 60.

Daughter of the late Albert and Alice (Warner) Weightman, she was born on November 16, 1960 in Nyack, NY.

A longtime area resident, “Patty” as she was known to friends and family, was a teaching assistant for many years at Butter Hill Day School, Cornwall, NY.   She adored children and children loved her!  Patty loved trips to the Jersey Shore and the casino, spending time with her family and friends and animals of all kinds.  Patty will most be remembered for her giving heart.  Giving to others brought her great joy.  

Survivors include her devoted husband of 34 years, Glen L. Hunt; sister Allison (Kathy) Lander of CT; two stepsons, Anthony (Kim) Hunt of Wallkill, NY and Glen (Anne Marie) Hunt Jr., of AK; two sisters in law, Joyce Croci of Monroe, NY and Carol DeGroat of Mahwah, NJ; one brother in law, Charles V. Hunt; three granddaughters, Faith and Hope Hunt and Lily Hunt, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Patty is predeceased by a son, Matthew B. Hunt in 2018 and a brother in law, Harry Hunt.

A service was held held Friday, June 11 at the White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service,with Father William Scafidi officiating. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor.

Donations in Patty’s name can be made to the Newburgh Animal Shelter, 645 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550.

Arrangements are under the care of White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh.
