Patricia A. Schuster, of the Town of Newburgh, passed peacefully at the age of 77 on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. She was surrounded by a bubble of love with her family by her side.
Daughter of the late J. Paul and Jean (Milius) Carroll, she was born on August 27, 1943 in Scranton, PA.
A longtime area resident, “Pat”, as she was known by friends and family, was a retired inventory control specialist for Valmar Textiles in Newburgh. Over the years she had also worked for Verla Cosmetics in New Windsor and as an interior designer for Warehouse Furniture in Newburgh.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Gerald W. Schuster; daughters, Patti (Warren) Epstein of Briarcliff Manor, NY, and Lori (Michael) McGraw of Richlands, NC; a son, Michael Schuster of Port Jervis, NY; siblings, Charlotte Haser of Jermyn, PA, Paul (Doris) Carroll of Scranton, PA, Mary Ann (Gary) Kapral of Harveys Lake, PA and Vincent (Terry) Carroll of Scranton, PA; seven grandchildren, Michael Patrick, Becky, Matthew, Jessie, Stephen, Ally and Christopher, who affectionately called her “Grams”, “Grandma Zap” and “Grandma Cliffy”; sister and brother in law, Joanne and Joe Hudak of Moosic, PA and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Kelly Schuster.
A Memorial Service will take place 11 a.m., Monday, June 21, 2021 at Our Lady of the Lake Chapel, 433 S. Plank Road (Rt. 52), Newburgh, NY with Fr. Fernando Hernandez officiating.
