Patrick J. Diamonti, 94 of New Windsor, died December 19, 2018.

The son of the late Vincent and Santa (Lattanzio) Diamonti, he was born April 19, 1924 in Medina, NY.
Patrick was a Veteran of the Army Air Corps serving WWII, honorably discharged in 1946 from the 408th Fighter Squadron in the 372nd Fighter Group, where he received the Good Conduct Medal and the Victory Medal. He attended AAF Technical School in Gulfport Mississippi, and was an airplane mechanic and instrument specialist. After his discharge, Patrick had a successful career as a handbag designer for Dubette and Regal Bags.

He was a history buff, active in scouting, and was a member of New Windsor Senior Citizens and American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria (Gaudioso) Diamonti; his children: Col (R) Paul Diamonti, Kevin Diamonti, Lori Canissario and husband Daniel, Lisa Fabiaschi and husband James; grandchildren: Angela Weiss and husband David and Nicholas Diamonti; Adam Canissario, Dr. Ryan Canissario and wife Alaina, Matthew, Michael and Natalie Grisevich, and Brian and Christine Diamonti; great-granddaughter Sierra Canissario; and sister, Genevieve McClintock and husband Edward. He was predeceased by his son, Patrick Diamonti, Jr. and grandson Christopher Paul Diamonti.

A service was held on Saturday at the Brooks Funeral Home, with entombment following in Cedar Hill Mausoleum, Newburgh.
