The Town of Newburgh Planning Board approved to circulate the site plans for a five lot subdivision project known as The Chadwick Woods to the Orange County Planning Department.

The proposed five lot subdivision was originally undertaken by Talcott Engineering Design, PLLC but has been handed now to Engineering & Surveying Properties. The Chadwick Woods Subdivision proposes a residential five lot subdivision. This would be built on an existing 14.91 acre parcel located in the Town of Newburgh on Rt. 300. The subdivision would be approximately 1,000 feet southwest of Chadwick Lake.

According to notes provided by Engineering & Surveying Properties, all the proposed lots met the required lot size and setback requirements. Each lot proposed a four bedroom dwelling and the dwellings would be serviced by public water. There would also be individual subsurface sewage treatment systems. As of now the current layouts of each of the lots are to remain the same with very few changes.

The planning board will need documentation in regards to the driveways that were reviewed by the New York State Department of Transportation and will need to hear back from the county planning department before a SEQR [State Environmental Quality Review Act] determination can be made and a public hearing can be set.
