Ryan announces $5M for pier, workforce development

Posted

Just one week after his swearing-in, Congressman Pat Ryan announced over $5M in federal funding coming to the City of Newburgh.

“The people of Orange County elected me to deliver, and I am getting right to work,” said Ryan. “The establishment of the FoodTEC program at SUNY Orange means more good-paying, middle-class jobs coming to the Hudson Valley, and the construction of the Newburgh Landing Pier is exactly the kind of economic development this region needs. I look forward to working with Mayor Harvey, SUNY Orange, and the Orange County Chamber of Commerce as we continue to create new opportunities for growth in Newburgh.”

“This critical funding will play a vital role in bringing jobs and economic opportunity to the people of Newburgh and Orange County,” said Orange County Chamber of Commerce President Heather Bell. “I want to thank Congressman Pat Ryan for hitting the ground running and delivering for Orange County.”
